Nathan's New Beauty

This backpacking pack has been a much anticipated purchase for Nathan. Therefore, he was a tad bit excited when it came.
It is strong enough to hold the kiddos! They loved it.

She's Relaxing...

Words to Remember

Most of the stories, comments, and questions that come out of Annie's mouth leave me laughing or smiling. Here are a few I want to remember...

Me: Annie, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Annie: A fashionista.
Me: What does Shae want to be?
Annie: An angel or a shovel.

I was going through our morning routine with Annie, letting her know everything that needs to be done and in what order... I'm a little OCD. Annie enjoys having a schedule and giving her input. I was just about finished with my list, when Annie grabs my hand, looks me straight in the eyes, with a very serious look, and says, "You need to watch out for Swiper the Fox. He'll get ya". Thank you Annie. I will take note.

We were reading a book with farm animals and we came to a page with a goat. The goat had a long white beard. Annie states, "Papa has a beard, just like a goat!"

And my personal favorite...

I was on hold with a member of the Idaho State Department of Education. I had a few questions about the renewal of my teaching certificate. Annie decided it was time to ask me a million questions and she needed those answers ASAP. I told her, "Give me a few minutes on the phone, then I can answer your questions". She asked me why and I responded, "So that I can be a teacher". She stared at me in silence for the next few minutes as I finished my conversation. Once I was off of the phone, Annie immediately said, in a worried tone, "You can't be a teacher, because you are my mama".

She melts my heart.

Time Out for Women

I had the pleasure of spending some time with these lovely ladies this weekend. We heard several inspirational talks and musical performances. It was definitely WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Our cool, FREE, totes :)
I feel recharged and ready to conquer anything that comes my way. So grateful for experiences like these. Sure love you, Gena and Meredith!

BIG thanks to Nathan who took off work, watched the girls, and even had the house SPIC 'n SPAN, complete with a vase of roses, when I got home. He's the best. Hands down.

One Year Old Photo Shoot

I could take pictures of this girl all day. She makes my heart melt.
Shae is a fighter. She will be heard, at all times, and then thank you after with plenty of love.
Shae loves to snuggle. Especially, if you are a male... Which would explain the loud squeals and giggles that come out of her mouth when daddy comes home.
Shae knows the most random animals sounds - bee, bear, elephant, and dog. She will only show off her skills when she's in a particular mood and place.
Shae has PLENTY of energy. Day or night, she is moving. Just tonight, it was passed her bedtime and she was pacing the floors yelling out constant, random sounds. It sounded important, unfortunately, we could not understand her.
Shae is a sweetheart. If you stop by, you can almost guarantee her coming up to give you a quick snuggle. Nothing better.
I know Shae was put into my life for a reason. I need her just as much as she needs me.
Happy Birthday to my Shae!
