Meeting Kort

Our dear friends, the Fenton's, came into town last weekend for a quick visit! It was so fun to catch up with them. We were even able to meet their new little one, Kort! He's adorable. Kort and Shae hit it off immediately :)

Two Months Old (Yesterday)

It is hard to believe that two months have already gone by. Shae is such a perfect baby! She nurses great, sleeps through the night, smiles and laughs often, and loves getting clean (this includes: diaper changes, baths, new clothes, etc). What more could I ask for? Here are her numbers:

Weight: 11 pounds, 12 ounces (75th percentile)

Height: 23 inches (75th percentile)

Head Circumference: 15.5 inches (65th percentile)

Shea is starting to hold her head up really well. Notice her naturally formed biceps? :)

She is also such a hand sucker! She can fit about half of her fist in there and then goes to town.

I never thought I could love another child this much. Boy, was I wrong! I could not be happier right now. Shae brings me so much joy. I am so grateful to have her in our family. She is a perfect fit and brightens our moods every day. Love you Shae!

My Little Helper

Lately, Annie has been wanting to help with EVERYTHING. Anything I am doing, she HAS to be doing it too. Despite the fact that it makes everything go a bit slower, I don't mind it. I love the fact that she is getting into this habit! Let's hope it continues through her teenage years :)

The Sunny Days are Here Again!

To celebrate this sunshine, we headed to the park!

But quickly got used to it.

Making the Most of the Rainy Days

Today we joined a few friends outside on the search for worms and mud puddles.

The search was a success!

We stayed outside for as long as we could. Eventually, our fingers, toes, and noses began to freeze and we made our way back inside. We are in desperate need of some sunny days!

PERFECT

Mother's day today has been perfect. I woke up to a perfect breakfast in bed. Even Annie carried in the muffins on a fancy plate perfectly. Then Annie and Shae each gave me some perfectly delicious chocolates along with two perfectly sweet cards. Nathan gave me a dozen perfect roses and pampered me perfectly all day. After church he made a perfect steak dinner.

I love him.

I love being a mom.

Girls Night :)

Friday night, all of us girls went to the Mindy Gledhill concert on campus! She is definitely my new favorite singer! Her songs can instantly brighten my mood.

Just Because...

A Day at the Zoo!

Today we took advantage of the BEAUTIFUL weather and went to the Idaho Falls Zoo. Here is a rundown of some favorite moments...

We fed the goats. Annie squealed every time the goat's tongue licked her little hand.

At first, Annie was a little nervous about this tiger, thinking that it was real.

I am pretty sure Annie's favorite part was watching the monkeys. In the picture below, she is attempting to imitate them as she jumps in place.

We were just pulling out of the parking lot and all of the kiddos were OUT. Since it was such a quiet ride home, Gena and I took our time and picked up some Jamba Juices.

Once we were home, Shae woke up and immediately wanted to eat (it had been about 6 hours). Then she was awake and happy for hours. Poor baby, had no idea she missed all of the animals :)
