Day on the Lake

Yesterday we spent a day on a beautiful lake in Ashton, Idaho with our friends Clay and Jessica. Clay's parents own an older boat so we took it out for a spin. The boat went extremely slow, so when we went on the tube, it felt more like floating down a tame river. Perfect speed for me and the baby! Anyway, we found a dock and played there for the day. As you can tell from the picture above, Nathan and Clay even found some time to fish!

The four of us on the wonderful boat! :)

I'M PREGNANT!!!!

Yes, that's right... the Cope family begins with baby #1! For the last few weeks I was feeling rather sick, nothing like I had felt before. We were on a long vacation and so we really didn't have time to think about what was going on with me. Then the day we got home (yesterday) we realized that I could possibly be pregnant. So I took a test and sure enough... I AM!! I am still feeling pretty sick. Nathan is such a sweetheart. He's always on the computer doing research about baby strollers, car seats, and what kinds of foods I should be eating... etc. Haha, it's just a tad bit early for all the baby accessories! I am so grateful for a husband who truly cares and sacrifices so much for his family. Brian (my brother) asked me yesterday if I knew if it was a boy or girl yet... once again... a bit early, but we can't wait to find out. Our parents, grandparents and siblings are thrilled to welcome a grandchild, great grandchild, and niece or nephew into this world. Hopefully this nine months goes by quickly. It should be due in April. We are so excited and feel so incredibly blessed to take this next step in our lives. We know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us and feel so blessed to be a part of it. We can't wait!

Our Two Week Vacation!!

For the first week of our vacation, we went home to Coeur d'Alene (Hayden), Idaho to visit our families. We spent a lot of time in the water since there is not a whole lot of it in Rexburg :) We went out on our boat a few times with my family.
This is my little sister Carmen.
Nathan and Brian... Chillin on the boat.
Here is Nathan showing off his wakeboarding skills. Too bad I wasn't quick enough to catch some photos of his jumps...
Nathan was able to catch a few shots of me in the air.
Nathan and Brian decided to jump in for a swim one evening.
We spent one day at Silverwood Theme Park with my family. Here is Brian and Nathan... this picture was taken at Boulder Beach, the water definately cooled us off! It was so hot!
Here's another picture of Nathan and I at Boulder Beach.
This is my mom and Carmen hanging with us at Boulder Beach.
We decided to take a quick trip to Cabelas because I have never been there and it is Nathan's FAVORITE store... It's pretty cool!
The second week was spent at the Oregon Coast for a family reunion. It was beautiful there. I love the Oregon Coast.

This picture was taken in Newport.
We saw some pretty sweet sea lions in Newport as well. They were hilarious and extremely lazy!
Here's some more sea li0ns...
Some of the beaches were pretty cold, windy, and foggy. Despite the cold weather, it was still beautiful.
I also got the chance to visit one of my best friends from high school!! She is currently going to school in Corvallis at Oregon State and she drove up and met us in Newport. We haven't seen each other in like a year so it was so much fun to see her again.
If you couldn't tell... it was really cold here!
We also had the chance to go to the air museum and check out all of the older, significant planes. It was nice to take the time to step back into the past.
Nathan and his little brother James chillin in the cockpits of some real jets.
One of my favorite parts of the vacation was visiting the Tillamook cheese facotory! I love that place!
If you look closely, you can see the big 21 pound blocks of cheese behind me.
Another picture in front of the cheese factory!
We spent another day skim boarding. The water was so cold!!
I love Nathan!!! :)
Because it was so windy, we flew some kites!

We finished up our trip by visiting our home ward. Almost everybody in our sunday school class growing up was there as well, so it was great to be together again!

Overall, our trip was so much fun! It was nice to get away for a few weeks and hard to come back. I begin my student teaching tomorrow and Nathan will be working full time at a pharmacy. We appreciate the time we get to spend time with our families and all that they do for us. Thank you!!!
