My Little Lambs

2 sewn together body suits (with hoods) + 1400 cotton balls glued = 2 CUTE little lambs.
Halloween could not have gone better. We had a blast.
The first time I put Shae in her costume, she immediately began ripping of every cotton ball that she could get her hands on. It was pretty funny - Typical Shae. So, I decided to cover her hands with black socks. After I did that, she literally HARDLY moved while in her costume. I held her the whole time and she just sat there, like a slug. Maybe I should put her in this costume more often... ;)
Annie LOVED wearing her costume and saying "Baaa!"
Saturday night we went to our ward halloween party. They had a few rooms decorated so the kiddos could do a little trick or treating there. Annie loved yelling, "trick or treat!" We also ate some chilli, corn bread, and delicious, creative desserts!

Tonight, we took the girls out for a little trick or treating.
At every house, right after Annie would receive her candy, she would IMMEDIATELY turn to us and say, "next house!" She was not about to waste any time. Love her.

It was COLD. Luckily the cotton balls gave the girls an extra layer! They were sweating :)
Annie, showing off her candy...
Shae fell asleep after the second house. Evidently, she wasn't as excited about the candy as Annie was :)
Happy Halloween! Hope you all had a spooky day!

I'm a Proud Mama

This little lady participated in the primary program today. She helped me give a quick talk and sang a few songs with the rest of the primary. It was perfect.
I'm so proud of my sweet girl. Love you Annie Ann!

The BIG 25!

Yes, I turned 25 on Thursday. It woke up and told Nate, "Babe! I'm half-way to 30!"
"Wow, so you're 15 again?" He replied.
Oh ya... I've been out of school for too long :) But, you understand what I meant when I said that right? ... right? ...

Anyway... MOVING ON - I had a fantastic day! It all started with breakfast in bed. Here is the mouth watering menu that was served:

French toast with homemade cinnamon syrup
Sausage (my fav)
Chocolate covered strawberries (that's right, my husband rocks)
Simply Orange, Orange Juice

My mouth is still watering. It was to DIE FOR!

After breakfast, I received quite the surprise, a SINGING TELEGRAM (curtesy of Gena). Oh, and she didn't just sing, she danced as well! She and Avie brought over balloons too. It was amazing, to say the least. I would love to start every morning like that. Gena? You up for it? Also, she wrote me a poem. What kind of awesome friend writes you a poem? Gena does.

Unfortunately, Nathan had to work all day, but, of coarse, he had plans to keep me happy until he returned home. Every few hours I would get a text telling me to look in specific places around our apartment so I could find the little surprises he had left for me - Graham crackers with frosting, creamy mint cookies... you get the idea. Oh, and he also brought me home some stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut for lunch. Ya... I was obviously NOT eating healthy and I LOVED every minute of it.

Once Nathan was home from work, I opened a few cards from Nate, Annie, and Shae. Nathan wrote me some ROMANTIC poetry (just kidding), Annie drew me a pretty picture, and Shae basically ate a few chunks out of a piece of paper, then gave the leftover scraps to me. I loved them all.

Then we had some cake... not just ANY ordinary cake. It was a FOUR layer cake! Nathan was trying to create a Cake Boss cake. Bless his heart... he tried his hardest and did a great job :) Annie was in LOVE with the cake... Naturally. She would not even look at the camera for a quick picture... she was too enthralled with the masterpiece Nathan had created.
Here it is... In case you are confused, I will explain the "one of a kind" drawings. Annie is the bottom left, then Shae is the bottom right, and Nathan is guy the top. The three things I love the most.
Isn't it lovely?
A tall cake = BIG pieces. Oh, and yes, it is rainbow chip - my favorite.
After cake was put away and the kids were in bed, Meredith was nice enough to come on over while Nate and I went out to half price appetizers. It never gets old dating this guy.
The next day, Friday, Nathan DID have the day off, so we spent it in Idaho Falls buying some things for our upcoming family pictures - Can't wait for those!

Thank you Nathan, Annie, Shae, friends and family for making my day so GREAT!

Insanity

Nathan has started up Insanity again. Annie likes to do it with him. She copies his every move...
Of coarse, she goes the extra mile and adds a few moves of her own :)
