Yes, I turned 25 on Thursday. It woke up and told Nate, "Babe! I'm half-way to 30!"
"Wow, so you're 15 again?" He replied.
Oh ya... I've been out of school for too long :) But, you understand what I meant when I said that right? ... right? ...
Anyway... MOVING ON - I had a fantastic day! It all started with breakfast in bed. Here is the mouth watering menu that was served:
French toast with homemade cinnamon syrup
Sausage (my fav)
Chocolate covered strawberries (that's right, my husband rocks)
Simply Orange, Orange Juice
My mouth is still watering. It was to DIE FOR!
After breakfast, I received quite the surprise, a SINGING TELEGRAM (curtesy of Gena). Oh, and she didn't just sing, she danced as well! She and Avie brought over balloons too. It was amazing, to say the least. I would love to start every morning like that. Gena? You up for it? Also, she wrote me a poem. What kind of awesome friend writes you a poem? Gena does.
Unfortunately, Nathan had to work all day, but, of coarse, he had plans to keep me happy until he returned home. Every few hours I would get a text telling me to look in specific places around our apartment so I could find the little surprises he had left for me - Graham crackers with frosting, creamy mint cookies... you get the idea. Oh, and he also brought me home some stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut for lunch. Ya... I was obviously NOT eating healthy and I LOVED every minute of it.
Once Nathan was home from work, I opened a few cards from Nate, Annie, and Shae. Nathan wrote me some ROMANTIC poetry (just kidding), Annie drew me a pretty picture, and Shae basically ate a few chunks out of a piece of paper, then gave the leftover scraps to me. I loved them all.
Then we had some cake... not just ANY ordinary cake. It was a FOUR layer cake! Nathan was trying to create a Cake Boss cake. Bless his heart... he tried his hardest and did a great job :) Annie was in LOVE with the cake... Naturally. She would not even look at the camera for a quick picture... she was too enthralled with the masterpiece Nathan had created.

Here it is... In case you are confused, I will explain the "one of a kind" drawings. Annie is the bottom left, then Shae is the bottom right, and Nathan is guy the top. The three things I love the most.
Isn't it lovely?
A tall cake = BIG pieces. Oh, and yes, it is rainbow chip - my favorite.
After cake was put away and the kids were in bed, Meredith was nice enough to come on over while Nate and I went out to half price appetizers. It never gets old dating this guy.
The next day, Friday, Nathan DID have the day off, so we spent it in Idaho Falls buying some things for our upcoming family pictures - Can't wait for those!
Thank you Nathan, Annie, Shae, friends and family for making my day so GREAT!
