4th of July Weekend

We spent our holiday in Clark Fork this year!
We drove over Wednesday evening, then woke up early Thursday morning for a four mile hike up Scotchman Peaks. The views were incredible... to say the least.
Grant, James, Nathan, and I went on the hike. The girls stayed back with Papa.
This moose was a little to close for comfort...
Part of the trail was so rocky... my legs were jello coming down.
Snow!
 Spot that mountain goat?
It was not afraid of us. It kept walking towards us, then finished the hike right along side us.
We were 7,009 feet above sea level. We started at 3,500 feet.
Well worth the pain!

This guy eventually woke up then nursed at the top!
There were three goats (one was a baby).
James attempted to feed them. Once they realized it was food, they wouldn't leave us alone!
Grant, just chilling with the mountain goats.
Our four mile hike down was harder for me. My legs were shaking.
Once we arrived home, we quickly showered and headed over to Sandpoint for lunch.
Little did Grammy know, she was about to be proposed to...
Congratulations to you both!
Grant was obviously very excited about it ;)
The next day, the 4th, we started our day off at the local Clark Fork parade.
See those buckets? They were at least half-way filled with candy by the end of the parade!
The girls were in heaven.
Grant has the inability to look up if he is sitting on the grass. He is WAY too distracted.
Papa made some delicious homemade root beer! The girls were so excited about the dry ice.
The girls spent the rest of the afternoon making up dances and jumping with Sarah and Rachel.
We ended our day with a great fireworks show in Clark Fork.
The next day, Aunt Carmen, Grandma, and Grandpa came over for a barbecue! The food was divine.
Carmen likes to pretend she has a beard like Papa.
Sticking our toes in the FREEZING creek. Seriously, freezing.
We finished the day off with some cotton candy, smores, and four-wheeler rides.
Grant wasn't sure what to think about the cotton candy...
The next day was Sunday. We attended the Clark Fork branch.
The Bledsoe's had flown in the night prior. It was so nice to catch up with them!
Grant met his cousin, Everett, for the first time... They are already friends.
It was a great trip! I'm amazed how much we were able to squeeze into one weekend!
Thanks for the fun memories Cope Family!
