We had a busy weekend and I LOVED every minute of it! Nathan was able to take the whole weekend off, which RARELY happens. So, that in itself made life even more wonderful! We started our celebrations on Saturday by driving to Driggs for a barbecue, carnival, and fireworks.
All of that fun and heat wore us out!
Annie met a friend who let her try on every shade of lip gloss she owned. She was in heaven.
Before the fireworks began, we listened to Glenn Beck give an inspiring speech.
Annie and Shae were both wide awake, then fell asleep when the fireworks started :(
Sunday was spent relaxing and celebrating little Avie's birthday. Of coarse, the girls were dressed in their patriotic attire for church :)
Monday morning, we went to the parade.
Annie ended up with plenty of candy and enjoyed waving to everyone as they passed.
At the very end of the parade, there was a big army truck drenching everyone. Annie stood right in front of it hoping to get soaked. She succeeded.
Overall, the parade was a success, other than Annie loosing her balloon... yes, there were a few tears shed.
Last but not least, 4th of July would not be the same without the Fruit Flag Jello!
I am grateful to live in this magnificent country. Happy Independence Day!

Glad you had a great time and that jello looks yummy!
Looks like a fantastic weekend! I hope everyone was able to catch up on sleep too :)
This cracks me up because Avie saw that army truck spraying water and wanted to get as far away from it as she could. :)
