I am trying to do a better job writing down the special moments that this little one...
and this little one create.
They each have such opposite and sweet personalities. I really do not want to forget anything.
Here are a few of those moments that just happened today. They are precious, at least to me.
- Annie let me sleep ten minutes longer this morning as she quietly sat in her princess chair and read her princess books.
- As Annie and I were in the living room talking about her "Me Me's" (baby's) schedule for the day, we suddenly hear a burst of coos and gurgles coming from the monitor. We both race to the bedroom to find Shae wide awake, unable to smile any wider.
- Annie was constantly leaning over Shae, mimicking me, saying, "Ah... Boo! Boo! Boo!" Shae was laughing as if she were begging Annie to continue.
- When Nathan left for work, Annie went on for the next five minutes explaining to me how tragic it was that "daddy took Annie's car-seat, so now we can't ride in Gena's car" (which we've only done a couple times, but Annie feels like she needs to do it every day).
- Shae was sitting on my lap, facing away from me, and suddenly arches her back as much as she can, stretches her neck, and adjusts her eyes up as high as they will go, allowing her forehead to wrinkle up. All of this, just so she can make sure I am still holding her.
- Annie kept squeezing her cheeks saying, "Chubby! Chubby! Chubby!"... Just like I am always saying/doing to Shae.
- Shae has started to grab things from me. I was sending a text today and she couldn't resist the bright lights on the phone. She HAD TO have it.
- Annie was frustrated because she could not figure out how to wrap up her baby properly, so she chucks it across the room, then immediately runs over to it, picks the baby up, and says, "Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!"
- Shae was sitting in her bouncer and yelling. I simply walk over so that she can see me and she instantly stops and smiles at me.
- Shae reached up and grabbed Annie's cheek (it definitely looked painful). Annie only laughed.
- Annie saw her friend Avie outside and begins shouting, "Avie! Avie! Avie!" Avie quickly runs over and they begin discussing their "pretty fingernails".
- I've been taking pictures with my phone lately, so Annie grabs an old phone of mine that is now "Annie's phone" and tries to take pictures herself (see pictures below).
And yes, Annie is just in her panties and a tee-shirt. That's all she wears (indoors) these days as she is being potty trained.
It shocks me how quickly my kiddos are growing up. The faster time goes by, the more grateful I am for these perfect moments.
I love my little girlies.

Those are are all so sweet. The one about my car cracked me up. Maybe one day we'll have to ride and go get a treat. I could even leave Jack w/ you and Annie could ride in his seat. They might like that! They're such sweeties!
Those are cute! I loved the one where she threw the baby and then started apologizing to it.
What a sweet post!! I loved it!! You have such an amazing little family!!
