Shae's Blessing Weekend

Last weekend was Shae's baby blessing. She wore the same dress that Annie was blessed in and looked beautiful.
Shae definitely enjoyed all of the attention and love :) Here she is talking with Uncle Shaun and Aunt Carmen.
Annie loved the company too! Aunt Carmen is a great entertainer.

I think all of that attention wore her out...
We went swimming!
Annie had a blast.

Aunt Jessica immediately was on Annie's good side when she started playing Barbies with her.
Aunt Hannah, Grandpa, and Shae
Nathan did a beautiful job with the blessing. We had family visiting from Clark Fork, Coeur d'Alene, Logan, and Boise! Shae is very loved :)

Shae and Daddy sharing a moment :)
Megan and Brexton were able to stay a few extra days! We loved the company!
Annie and Brexton had a fun time together. They even shared the same room and stayed up for hours talking before they finally fell asleep. It was sad to see them leave!
It was a wonderful weekend! Nathan and I are so grateful for all of the family that came and their support and love.
Shae has been nothing but a blessing in my life. Her innocent presence makes me have the desire to be better. I cannot get enough of her contagious personality, chubby cheeks, and sweet newborn sounds. Shae is the perfect addition to this family. I love you Shae! I am so happy that you were born.

Little Shae

The girls are both napping, so I am going to use this spare time to share a few pictures of Shae.
I love her expression in this one...

When shae is awake, she is so alert! She continuously follows us with her eyes.
She has also been talking quiet a bit! Shae's expressions alone allow her coos, grunts, and gurgles to make complete sense.
She's been flashing us several sweet smiles lately. Unfortunately, this is the only smile (and it's a small one) that I've been able to catch on camera.
Shae and I have finally been able to get ourselves on a nice sleeping schedule. She wakes up only once in the night, just to eat, then goes right back to sleep. It's been nice.

All Dolled Up

Sometimes Annie treats Shae like she is her very own, real life doll. Today I came into the living room to find this bow and those bracelets on Shae. Annie kept talking about how pretty she looks... Can you see the terror in Shae's eyes? :) Just kidding, I actually think Shae enjoys the attention from her sister.

Easter!

We had a fun-filled Easter this year. The festivities started on Saturday morning. The primary had an Easter egg hunt activity! Annie enjoyed finding the eggs and of coarse, chowing down on all of the candy.

Sunday morning, Annie received an Easter basket with even more candy, along with a Fancy Nancy book (her favorite series) and a funny chick.
She took her time opening all of the eggs and finding the candy inside. Annie made sure we saw every piece :)

Unfortunately, the girls and I were feeling pretty sick, so we were unable to attend church. Nathan stayed home and took care of us. He made a DELICIOUS dinner including a pork roast, potatoes, salad, rolls... you get the idea. We love him :)
I am so thankful for Easter and the chance that we have to remember Christ, His life, and the Resurrection. I know that Christ lives. I know that He atoned for our sins and He knows each of us personally. I know that as we trust in Him and follow Him, our lives will be blessed and we will be able to live with our Heavenly Father again. I am so grateful for this knowledge!
Happy Easter Everyone!

One Year Older and Wiser Too...

Happy Birthday to Nathan! He turned 25 on Thursday! Quarter of a century old :)

I am so grateful for Nathan. I could not have asked for a better husband and father! He is a saint and has truly dedicated himself to his family. I love you Nathan and I look forward to what lies ahead for us! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

"Shae? Play? Ok!"

Can you find Shae's little head in there, under all of those toys?
This is Annie's way of playing with Shae... stacking as many toys on her as she can. I've learned it's time to come to Shae's rescue when I hear, "Shae? Play? Ok!"
