Happy Thanksgiving!!

This Thanksgiving we headed up to Coeur d'Alene and spent the holiday with my family. It was so nice to spend time together and we had a lot of fun! Nathan and I are both so grateful for loving and supportive families, friends, and most importantly, the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Happy Thanksgiving!

The Forgotten Carols

Last night we had the chance to attend The Forgotten Carols concert. It was AMAZING! Nathan bought the tickets as a birthday surprise for me in October. There were no pictures allowed during the concert... understandable... so we tried to capture a picture with both of us in it and the big sign outside the concert... this is the best we could do :) We had so much fun. It was a perfect way to welcome the upcoming holiday season!

Christmas Decorations!

I was way too excited for Christmas to wait until after Thanksgiving to hang up my decorations, so I did it this last weekend. Here are some of the bigger decorations...This first one is hanging in our hallway and holds Christmas cards! It is actually from my mom... thanks mom!

Here is the wreath I made! If you look closely, you will see hollies, pinecones, and poinsettias. This is my first wreath... I was pretty happy with how it turned out :)

Nathan surprised me with this Nativity Set a few days ago... I love the willow statues! I was pretty excited. I used a placemat and twinkle lights to set up the display.

And last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST... our first Christmas tree!! It's a fake, pre-lit, six foot tree. WE LOVE IT!! We also have twinkle lights hanging in our windows... but they didn't picture very well. Anyway... Merry (early) Christmas!

The Infamous Haircut

If you could not tell from the picture above, Nathan desperately needed a haircut! So my talented friend, Tiffany, came over and taught me how to cut a boy's hair. Oh and he IS wearing shorts under the cape... you just can't see them...

Now that I learned how easy it is to cut Nathan's hair, I wish we hadn't spent all of that money on haircuts for him in the past!

This is the "after" picture... we were pleased! Thanks for the help Tiffany!

Happy Halloween!

Yesterday we went to our ward halloween party. The theme was famous couples... we pretty much forgot about it until last minute. So we threw on some cowboy boots and decided we were Annie Oakley and Frank Butler! Luckly we had nametags...
We also volunteered to be one of the couples participating in the doughnut eating contest. As you can tell from the pictures, the doughnuts were hanging from strings and we could not use our hands. It was a messy game! Our team won... thanks to Nathan who ate about three doughnuts!! I ate less than one... and I was still sick. Next time I eat a doughnut I actually want to enjoy it!Here is Nathan finishing up his last doughnut! We were all cheering him on as he tried to swallow it!
We were covered in sugar after the contest... it was disgusting! After the party we went to the straw maze and spent about an hour attempting to find our way out! We were all turned around. Overall, we had a very fun Halloween!!

Birthday Fun!

Monday, the 27th, was my birthday!! I turned 22 :) Nathan put together a little party on Sunday night with some friends from the ward and home. He also made some carrot cake from scratch! It was sooo good. Everybody loved it!
Nathan was a great host!

All of the girls... including baby Emma! :)

All of the boys... not sure what was so funny... Nathan looks REAL happy! haha!
Then on Monday I opened all of my presents in the morning and Nathan made me some french toast! It was delicious... as always! Nathan is a wonderful cook! I went to school and my class decided to put together a little suprise party. I was at the book fair during recess while they decorated the classroom. When I came back to the room the lights were off and the kids were hiding. Then they all yelled suprise and sang me happy birthday. A bunch of them had birthday cards and one girl even had a whole book of poems "about Mrs. Cope"! I love these students! They are so sweet and thoughtful! I couldn't have asked for a better class. That evening, Nathan made me chicken cordon blue! Once again... AMAZING! Then he pulled out another present... two tickets to "Forgotten Carols"!!! I was so excited!!! Overall, it was an incredible birthday!!! I am so grateful for a supportive family!! I feel especially blessed to have such a loving husband!!

High School Musical 3!!!

Yesterday, Tiffany and I went to see High School Musical 3 and let me tell ya... It was AMAZING!!! Yes it was extremely cheesy and dramatic... but I think that made it even more enjoyable! The dancing and singing was awesome! I would definately recommend it to anyone! Well... any girl I guess... ya.... Nathan... he wouldn't be a big fan. But girls, go see it ASAP!! And bring your kids :)
