Birthday Fun!

Monday, the 27th, was my birthday!! I turned 22 :) Nathan put together a little party on Sunday night with some friends from the ward and home. He also made some carrot cake from scratch! It was sooo good. Everybody loved it!
Nathan was a great host!

All of the girls... including baby Emma! :)

All of the boys... not sure what was so funny... Nathan looks REAL happy! haha!
Then on Monday I opened all of my presents in the morning and Nathan made me some french toast! It was delicious... as always! Nathan is a wonderful cook! I went to school and my class decided to put together a little suprise party. I was at the book fair during recess while they decorated the classroom. When I came back to the room the lights were off and the kids were hiding. Then they all yelled suprise and sang me happy birthday. A bunch of them had birthday cards and one girl even had a whole book of poems "about Mrs. Cope"! I love these students! They are so sweet and thoughtful! I couldn't have asked for a better class. That evening, Nathan made me chicken cordon blue! Once again... AMAZING! Then he pulled out another present... two tickets to "Forgotten Carols"!!! I was so excited!!! Overall, it was an incredible birthday!!! I am so grateful for a supportive family!! I feel especially blessed to have such a loving husband!!

High School Musical 3!!!

Yesterday, Tiffany and I went to see High School Musical 3 and let me tell ya... It was AMAZING!!! Yes it was extremely cheesy and dramatic... but I think that made it even more enjoyable! The dancing and singing was awesome! I would definately recommend it to anyone! Well... any girl I guess... ya.... Nathan... he wouldn't be a big fan. But girls, go see it ASAP!! And bring your kids :)

Conference Weekend

We decided to head down to Salt Lake this weekend for General Conference. We left Saturday morning and went to the Saturday afternoon session. Nathan also went to priesthood that night, then we left Sunday afternoon. It was our first time going to conference together and will probably be our last for a while since next April we'll have a baby. We are so glad we went and had a wonderful time. It was a great experience.

Our First Ultrasound

We went in today for our first appointment for the baby and here is the video of our ultrasound!! The doctor was amazed how much the baby was moving around! Looks like we have a healthy one! We also realized that we are actually farther along than we thought we were. Our new due date is April 23rd. Nathan is hoping it will be born on his birthday, April 21st. We'll see, early babies definately do not run in the family! haha. We are so excited.

The Weekend Run Down

This weekend we had so much fun, but I soon realized as the weekend was coming to a close that I completely forgot to take any pictures... So I will simply give a brief summary of Friday and Saturday, without pictures :(

Friday: We took a short two hour road trip to Burley, Idaho to spend a night with our friends, Donny and Tiffany, who were house sitting Tiffany's parents’ house. The house is right on the river and it had a BEAUTIFUL view. We were hoping to get out on the boat, but unfortunately the weather was thundering and lightening. Instead, Donny and Tiff gave us a little tour of Burley. It was a fun few days and we enjoyed spending time with our good friends!

Saturday: When we got back from Burley on Saturday night, we went on a double date. We decided to set up two of our close friends, Brian and Ashley, and we had a blast! We started out the night with a barbeque and then went to Teton Lanes for some bowling. Just a little side note: I, Nicole, won with a score of 98! This usually NEVER happens, so I was thrilled! Brian took 2nd, Nathan took 3rd, and Ashley came in right after. After bowling we all went back to our place and played monopoly. Nathan was ecstatic because usually nobody wants to play this with him and it's his ultimate favorite game. Then on top of that he beat us all. He's so proud :) I was completely slaughtered and came in dead LAST. Awe well! What's done is done.

So that's the quick summary of our weekend. I'll be sure to carry around my camera more often so I don't slack anymore!! Stay tune for more updates in the Cope Family! Love you all.

Day on the Lake

Yesterday we spent a day on a beautiful lake in Ashton, Idaho with our friends Clay and Jessica. Clay's parents own an older boat so we took it out for a spin. The boat went extremely slow, so when we went on the tube, it felt more like floating down a tame river. Perfect speed for me and the baby! Anyway, we found a dock and played there for the day. As you can tell from the picture above, Nathan and Clay even found some time to fish!

The four of us on the wonderful boat! :)

I'M PREGNANT!!!!

Yes, that's right... the Cope family begins with baby #1! For the last few weeks I was feeling rather sick, nothing like I had felt before. We were on a long vacation and so we really didn't have time to think about what was going on with me. Then the day we got home (yesterday) we realized that I could possibly be pregnant. So I took a test and sure enough... I AM!! I am still feeling pretty sick. Nathan is such a sweetheart. He's always on the computer doing research about baby strollers, car seats, and what kinds of foods I should be eating... etc. Haha, it's just a tad bit early for all the baby accessories! I am so grateful for a husband who truly cares and sacrifices so much for his family. Brian (my brother) asked me yesterday if I knew if it was a boy or girl yet... once again... a bit early, but we can't wait to find out. Our parents, grandparents and siblings are thrilled to welcome a grandchild, great grandchild, and niece or nephew into this world. Hopefully this nine months goes by quickly. It should be due in April. We are so excited and feel so incredibly blessed to take this next step in our lives. We know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us and feel so blessed to be a part of it. We can't wait!
