Soaking up the Snow in North Idaho

We recently spent a weekend skiing at Schweitzer. The conditions could not have been better and the girls and Nathan enjoyed every minute of it. I stayed in the cabin with Grant, occasionally making my way out to take a few pictures.

Heading out for day one of skiing...
Grandpa, helping Shae get ready to go!

 Nathan helping Annie...
And.... they're off! Shae's first time!
 Shae and Grandpa
 Annie and Nathan
 Such a gorgeous view.
 Annie, following Nathan's tracks...
She loves her daddy.
Perfect way to end the day... in the hot tub.
Day Two! Shae's all ready to go!
The morning crew... Grandma and Carmen skied with Annie and Nathan skied with Shae Shae.
Go Shae Shae!!
 Shae and Daddy
 Annie and Grandma
Shae was bombing it... this girl has no fear. She was jumping, dancing, and singing the whole way down.
For Annie's last few runs, Grandma and Grandpa decided to take her up on the bigger slopes. She did great!
Oops! Shae lost a ski while on the chair lift!
Chilling with Carmen, watching a movie, after a long day of skiing. These girls were exhausted.
Skiing was a blast! Wish we could go more often!

Nathan left Sunday afternoon and the rest of us stayed through the next week in Hayden. We shopped, played, and soaked up as much snow as we could.
Standing at the top of the hill, singing as loud as she could, "Let it go! Let it go!"
While Grandpa plowed, the girls "helped" him shovel the snow...
Shae scooped up the snow then threw it behind her, landing back on the driveway. It was hilarious. She will figure it out someday :)
The ice crystals were so pretty.
And of coarse the views were breathtaking. I love this backyard.

It was a nice, relaxing visit.
Saturday morning we headed back to Auburn to gear up for Grant's blessing the next day!

Our Lovey Dovey Valentine's Day

The party started on the 13th, making special valentines for their cousins. I cut out a bunch of hearts and they went to town gluing, painting, and creating.
The finished products! Now to get them mailed...
The next morning the girls woke up to a festive Valentine's Day table with candy, toys, books, and food. I made chocolate chip muffins to make the day extra special for them. You would have thought it was Christmas.
So in love with these three!! My heart!
We finished the day off with a little shopping and gelato in Seattle. It was wonderful.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Another Snow Day!

Saturday night it started snowing! We figured it would all be melted by morning, but nooooo... Sunday morning we woke up to a couple inches of BEAUTIFUL SNOW!! We live for this stuff.

They even canceled church, due to the "hazardous road conditions", so we played outside all morning in our little "backyard".
Working together to build "Olaf"...
 Always fixing the gloves :)
 Adding a few finishing touches...
 Final product! Meet Olaf.
The girls wanted a picture hugging it... Cheese balls.
Yes, even Grant, at five weeks old, went sledding :)
Love this crew.
 Annie's face is priceless.
Grant LOVES being outside.
And to finish it off, a picture of my little Shae Shae. I love her.
After a while, Shae came inside with Grant and I to warm up under a blanket. Her gloves fell off one too many times leading to a couple of freezing hands and cheeks.

Annie and Daddy stayed out there for quite a bit longer, building homes out of snow for bugs. Once they joined us inside, we warmed ourselves up with some hot chocolate.

I love snow days.

One Month!

Our little Grant is starting to fit into some size three month clothes! Slow down baby! He's growing up so fast. We are loving every minute with him.

Something about babies in silly hats that gets me going... :)
I had to add this "behind the scenes" one... Annie is my little helper. Always making sure Grant is happy. He adores her.
