Gooo Carmen!

Last Saturday we drove to Yakima to meet up with Grandpa, Grandma, and Carmen. Coeur d'Alene High School's cross country team was invited to the Sunfair Invitational. They have an incredible team, especially the girls, and (once again) they dominated.

Annie and Shae were beyond excited to leave early when it was still dark outside. You would have thought we were taking them to Disneyland. They soaked up every minute they could with Grandpa, Grandma, and Carmen.
Just warming up with the team :)
Shae's giving Carmen some extra weight in plank position.
Passing up the boys! Carmen did an incredible  job... as usual.
The girls spent some time at the park in between races.
So proud of their Aunt Carmen!
These last few were taken on my phone...
We went out for some Italian food after the meet... It was delicious. Thanks Dad and Mom!!
 Loved hanging with these ladies!
Such a fun day! Wish it didn't have to end so soon.

A Saturday Morning Walk

I love this pathway up the hill by our house. It makes for a great Saturday morning walk.
Annie DID end up walking most of the way. This was a quick 5 minute luxury for her...
Taking a quick break...
Sure love this crew.
Hiding in the bushes waiting for the girls to approach... high pitched screams followed.
Made it to the top!
Now to hike back down...
Beautiful river right by our subdivision. The girls and I visit it daily.
Fall is approaching and we are loving the cool, brisk weather!

Our Saturday Afternoon

We walked to the park...
 And played a little frisbee.
The sun was bright... Shae could hardly stand it.
 Chasing after the frisbee...
Shae obviously was not fast enough... Oh Shae.
Annie throws it with all of her might, but it still manages to land behind or beside her every time.
 Friends.
I love my determined, red headed, scraggly child.
Our whole weekend was pretty much like this.
Relaxed, fun, and together.
It was great.

Another Visit to Pike Place Market

Nathan's family came to stay with us over Labor Day Weekend! Saturday was spent at Pike Place Market. The weather was perfect, wasn't too crowded, and the company was wonderful.
The whole crew!
Father and Sons.
Despite the looks on the girls' faces... they really did have fun!
Have you ever wondered where Shae gets her RED hair? Well here is your answer... Aunt Hannah.
Stunning!
Thanks for the visit Copes!
We love you!

It's a BOY!!!

August 19th, we found out we are having a sweet baby BOY!
That's right. Miracles happen.
Here's a blurry picture of his profile... I personally think he already looks like Annie and Shae :)
I am beyond excited right now. Very giddy.
It's a whole new experience for me! I don't have ANY boy things... what do I buy first?
How am I going to coordinate all of the boy colors with the girls? (Since they will, all three, be in the same room). This gets me excited. I'm am ready for this change.
I am counting down the days when I get to meet our little guy.
I hope he is a miniature Nathan.
Love him already.
