Katie's Wedding

Last weekend, we made our way up to Clark Fork for Katie's wedding! We left Thursday evening and arrived in the wee hours of Friday morning. After catching up on some much needed sleep, we spent most of the day playing and catching up with the fam.

Friday evening was Katie's reception. 

 It was a great party with dancing, amazing food, and plenty of entertainment for the kiddos ... yes, even a bouncy house! This was definitely a highlight of the trip for the girls. They could not get enough of it.

 Papa found a balloon for Annie. He tied it to her wrist, but soon after it somehow escaped and floated up to heaven :) Annie was in hysterics.

 Shae's balloon stayed on her wrist the entire time! She went to sleep with it that night.

 It's not a complete COPE party without whipping out the classic, cotton candy machine. This was, of coarse, a big hit.

Saturday afternoon was Katie's temple sealing. It was a beautiful ceremony.

 Both James and Hannah watched the girls during the sealing. So nice of them!

Shae did a lot of exploring as we waited for Katie and Jordan to come out... She was intrigued by all of the flowers.

 She sat and stared them down... I would really like to know what is going through that little head of hers.

 It was nice to see Sister Oyler. She has always been a close family friend.

 After the temple, we were all hungry. Five Guys and Krispy Kreme's took care of that.

Nathan had been wanting to deep fry a turkey for a while. So EARLY Sunday morning, he woke up and deep fried two of them! Fried turkey for breakfast? Yes, please.

 Since Shae has been waking up early lately, she hung out with them as it went down. Nathan turned Kelly's pickup truck into a little playroom for her to roam around in while the turkey cooked.

We drove home that morning.

It was a great trip. Thanks Kelly for housing and feeding us! Love you all!

Now... let the organizing, packing, and cleaning begin. Blahhh... Can I just push time ahead 26 days to skip all of that dirty work?

Happy Birthday, Mom and Carmen!

My dad put together a fun, surprise weekend for my mom's 50th. We also celebrated Carmen's 14th birthday.

They arrived in Rexburg, Thursday afternoon. It was hot, so we ventured out to the spray park.

The next morning, we drove to Salt Lake and did a little shopping at the City Creek Mall. It was amazing. I could spend days shopping there.

Friday evening, we all met up at The Roof Restaurant for dinner. The food was DELECTABLE. It was all you can eat and I'm pretty sure Nathan and I were the last ones eating. We could not get enough of that food!

These kiddos are lucky ones. Their grandparents spoil them well :)

The room was surrounded by windows. The kids loved coming up to the glass and taking in the view.

My parents were originally married in the Salt Lake Temple. It's a beauty...

The next day, Saturday, was spent at Lagoon.

It was HOT, but we had loads of fun! So much fun, that I only remembered to pull out my camera for the first hour of rides...

Annie was in heaven.

After an fun, exhausting day at Lagoon, we said goodbye to family and headed over to the Jack's house. It was so nice of them to take us in, dirty from head to toe, and letting us shower up, then crash at their place for the night. We went to church the next morning with them and didn't leave until later Sunday evening.

Tiffany and I were separated at birth. We have too much in common to say we are not sisters. We have fun together. It makes me sick every time we have to say goodbye to them. One day, we WILL be neighbors!

Veva and Annie hit it off. Like mothers, like daughters!
